I posted this over in the Super duty section but got no replies. I remember seeing the answer to this question on the 6.2 side a few months back so I thought I'd give it a try here.
Sometime early next year I'll have the cash for a new Superduty! I need to replace my ageing 92 F250 IDI that Ive had for over 20 years.
Question, at what time of the year does Ford release absolute data on an upcoming model year changes? Production on the 2014's began in June of this year, and I want to say the info about the changes came out in early spring.
I may hold out for a 2015 but dont want to miss out on a 2014 if I dont like/need the change.
Thanks for the replies! I was wondering on "when" they post the changes for the 2015 models. I'm thinking April/May?
It really varies year to year...and based on model updates. So...for the 2013 and 2014...with little to no changes...they released the info normally. When it comes to a total redesign or significant updates...that info will be out sooner.
Just keep an eye out here on FTE...and I'm sure you will run into the info. The 6.7 diesel forum is a good place to watch for SD info. Of course here in the 6.2L form as well.

When the 2011's came out Ford was advertising the 6.7 and other changes in 2009.
One rumor that I've heard over the past few weeks is that MY 2014 will be the last year of the SuperCab body style. For the 2015 MY there will be only two super duty body styles; standard and crew, and two bed lengths; 6' and 8'.

That could be because an all new Super Duty is coming. GMC and Chevy have dropped many versions of the 2500 and 3500 HD's (including all extended cab models) for 2014 as part of the phase out of the current model. The GM HD will be new for 2015.
