Caliper bracket question
I started restoring a 85 f250 that my father in law gave me in June. I have made a lot of progress in the these few months and its coming along nicely. I recently have done away with the IFS and put in the dana 60 from a 89 f350. The only problem is the axle i bought was missing 1 caliper bracket. After online searches and asking around i have not found any for sale. I've been searching for answers on wether or not the late 70's brackets will fit the 89 axle because I have found some online. Can anyone help a new member out with this dilemma? Thanks!

Take a look at the dana 50 ttb that came in the 80-85.5 f350's and the extended cab f250's. The knuckle out is supposed to be the same as your straight axle dana 60. I don't know if it will work but it would be worth taking a look.

I was mistaken, the spindle stub-out on the dana 50 is the same. Something about the spindle doesn't fit "hub centric" in the hole, but the bolt pattern is the same, and the wheel bearings, hub, brake rotor and 4x4 lock-out stuff is the same.
Looking at the pictures below you are correct, the caliper slide mounts are cast into the knuckle on the IFS, and must be bolt on on the 60.
