I put power steering in my 50 F1 not a kit but from parts, BUT in my Ecotec powered Baja Bug we put in electric power steering and that is the way I would go for the convenience and simplicity not as cheap. you leave the original steering box and add the steering unit inline with the steering shaft. just turn the key on not even the engine and you have power steering 30 amp load at max but normally much much lower for regular driving. using them in circle track racing. sorry if I put a choice that may put you in research mode again;.

Several vendors have some degree of power steering kits. Keep an eye on the price, lower usually means less stuff. But, if Midfiftys says theirs is complete it will be. Does the Midfiftys kit come with Heavy Duty tie rod? Several members recommend it when installing power steering plus larger tires.
