Does anyone know what size the nut for the pitman arm is? I spent $150 on wrenches the other day figuring 1 1/8" would be big enough, just to find out its not. I'm guessing its 1.5", but before I spend another $50 in wrenches, I figure I'd ask here. Thanks guys!
I just went out and checked. My 1 1/4" wrench for the banjo nut up by the fuel pump would not go on. I have a 1 5/16" 12pt socket that went on but a little loose. If you have a 6 pt socket at that size you would probably be fine. The 12 pt might hold, I don't know how far they are torqued. The conversion to metric suggests about 33mm (5/16 is 8mm and 1 would be roughly 25mm).
You guys are awesome! Hopefully I'll be finishing up this lift Friday. As long as my new brake lines show up on time. Thanks again fellas!
Take some pics and post it up. I just got a 3" Offroad unlimited RSK set up the other day off CL and would love some idea of what I am getting into!
lol

Well mines a 6" lift, an it's been a PITA... Tough to get the truck high enough to put it all together. One of my leaf spring bolts got seized inside the collar of the spring and I had to cut the spring to get it out. Luckily I was planning on throwing the old leaves away anyways. I'll take some pics when I get home and I'll probably post them all one I finish everything up.

Why could you not press it out? I hate to cut stuff unless I've tried all the other options. But that being said I want to see some pictures.

That sucks. I don't think I've ever done a project without having at least one bolt that refuses to cooperate. Makes you so mad to know how much time you are losing. It's like, I could do this in a couple hours if I didn't have to spend all this time getting this one pain in the butt out!
I'll bet it looks good when done though. Are you in NY? Your videos look like a NC base.

Yeah man, I spent 3 hours getting that one bolt out. Yeah I'm in ny about an hour and a half north west of the city. Stuck at an air national guard base... It sucks. I gotta upload some of my newer videos I took with the gopro once I put the stack on...

Definitely post them up. And, thanks for your service. Me and my family appreciate it.
You can always borrow one on deposit from the FLAPS.....
You just have to be careful what you get. The fan clutch tool i borrow was trashed and made things worse. The pulley tool I got did a good job. But they are hard to trust because people beat the tar out of them. The other way is just make sure you have a good friend with TONS of tools. That works too. Too bad Bill is 3 hours from me!
