Here are a few more for the thread:
I play my music through the floor model Philco radio.
My converted and painted generic Chinese wall clock.
This was in worse shape than my current hood and in my way. I hated to crush it, so I painted it black, bought a 36" diameter decal for it, and hung it on the wall.
That Texaco hood is great! what a neat idea
I'm running out of wall space. I have the front fender section from a 59 GMC 860 semi tractor but I don't have the space to put it up. I wish I had the grill to go with it.
Here's what the original truck looked like
I think I'll have to hang it on the fence in the backyard or something
You guy's obviously don't do any dirty work like sanding, Painting stuff.
Cuz there ain't no dust caked on everything. No way could I keep that stuff in
my shop, I would work in it. Yours all look like Museums or something.
Way to clean for a working shop. Even cutting, grinding and welding would coat it all in time.
I would be spending more time keeping the junk clean than getting any
real work done
Some very impressive stuff and shops.....
But I'm with artic y block.....
My shop pretty much stays dirty and in some sort of disarray...I'm too busy trying to get stuff done than to worry about having displays to dust off...
I do not know if I will ever get around to making them, but I will pass the idea on to you guys.
I have always wanted to turn my old valve covers into picture lamps. Similar to how a museum has for there costly paintings except mine would be just for posters.
The other fixture would be to make a desk lamp out of a valve cover for the executive type that has a car themed office.
