broken hood latch

Try pushing the hood down a little against the spring while you trip the latch. If that doesnt work try holding the lever in the open position while bouncing the nose of the hood. Worst case you may need to put a bar under the front and pry on the hood while holding the latch open. If none of those gets it open, I assume you doused the latch liberally with Liquid Wrench or PBblaster (NOT WD40!) a couple times a day for a day or two prior, then it might be time to get out the fire saw after locating another hood.

Thanks ax it was stuck, I thought the latch might not be releasing,but I bounced on the hood and it opened,the extra mashed potatoes and ice cream finally payed off,240 lbs. did the trick RED
