LPOP will be suspect if the vehicle has a lot if miles on it, based on the symptoms you are describing. It is behind the crankshaft damper. Easy to change out, and a Melling M208 is only ~$100.

I was thinking i was right but the place for checking the lpop psi is where the sensor screws in the top of the hpop reservoir. no oil in reservoir means no oil psi which agrees with your gauge on a long crank.

If you want to test low pressure oil pressure, there is a test port on the oil cooler right above the oil filter. It's 1/8 npt.
Edit: Or what he said, on top of the HPOP reservoir. I agree that it sounds a lot like the lpop is bad.

Thanks for all your help guys! It was the IPR, not the cheapest thing I ever replaced but it runs and that is a start. I does take alot of cranking on initial start up. but that isn't something I am willing to get into til tomorrow. Lpop tired maybe? What would you suspect if the hpop res. dropped about 1/3 of a liter over a 24hour period of sitting?

As far as a lot of cranking to start, see how it does after 100 or so miles. It takes a while to purge all that air out after its been run empty in the oil system. It may clear up and start normally after it purges the air.
