No surprisingly the bolt I stripped was the front one on the left, the easiest one. once I switched to 6 point I never had a problem
On the back bolt I ended up using a 6 point wrench and holding it straight up and a 4 foot 1" pipe and my wife held the other end off the fender and hit it about 15-20 times with a 2lb hammer. Worked like a champ!
I almost got it back together, but broke the v band clamp on the up pipe to turbo.
I plan on sitting down and doing a write up, at least with tips and tricks relating to the AFE brand and posting it here
OK guys I got it back together, got about 150 miles on it. I had broken the clamp again but managed to squeeze it back together.
I still seam to have a little problem. Its kinda weird.
No CEL, no codes stored.
-When I start it up (in the morning) drive a little and get out to a 55MPH zone the truck will not do 55MPH. It will barely do 50, I got the pedal to 3/4 doesnt seam to smoke but just barely has any power. Finally seams it warms up and then instantly I get 3-400 RPM's and all the power back.
-I always seam to now have a low power between 20 and 50
-I now get turbo whistle out of my 03 turbo'd banks monster exhaust at around 5 MPH and what seams like a lot of very low end power. I would assume thats one of the good things about the EGR delete??
My MAP sensor fitting into the intake was pretty gummed up, not sure if it was completely blocked would it be worth it to replace that hose and check the connection into the sensor?
Could it be the sensor?
Could it be a dirty sensor?
Is it cleanable, and how?
Could it be my VGT actuator or any of the rings?
Any other ideas?
Also, I still have the EGR valve in the engine, unplugged, could this be causing anything? It should be noted that after 2 times of the exhaust fogging out everything behind me I disconnected the EGR and the truck seamed to run fine for almost a week until I started the delete. Would you suggest I make a block off plate and completely remove it or plug it in? I may try plugging it in on my way home today to see how it does.
Just for Giggles try Cleaning the EBP and Tube, just don't spray the senser just make sure the hole is clear and the tube has no restriction in the manifold, also The IAT2 senser will be sooted spray carb cleaner and brush out the crud a plumbers flux brush works well
Thank you for that info. I found somewhere else that with my egr disconnected my fan will only come on 33% and my vgt wont open all the way. So far since plugging it in i noticed it takes a lot longer to warm up. My iat2 was disscusting you couldn't even see the cage it was so gummed up. My ebp sensor looked pretty good, I wonder if its plugged further down?? I wasn't able to push a coat hanger in past the bend in the tube due to the angle. I'm totally at a loss.

Spray the nuts on the EBP tube with some Pb-40 ,before brakeing it loose, this will help from striping or Twisting the line, if its plugged it will be closer to the Manifold. Sorry If you did this already I didn't read all the way thru the posts what was the values for MAP,EBP,VGT,BST ? When was the last time the Turbo Had a Good Cleaning?
