Since I swapped in the 460 from 351m, I have noticed that at wide open throttle my C6 trans is taking a few seconds to shift from 1 to 2. Light throttle it seems fine. It feels like it loses pull but rpms keep going up then it shifts. It does the same thing when manually shifting. It is slightly firmer when cold. 2-3 shifting is nice and firm.
I adjusted the intermediate band but I think that it only applies to the 2-3 shift. I haven't messed with the vacuum modulator yet but do have new vacuum lines and they are hooked up correctly. With full manifold vacuum at idle on the distributor advance I am getting about 17-18 inHg. Fluid level is in correct range and it looks/smells good-not burnt. Also just installed an auxillary cooler with no improvement.
I am running 33" tires and 3.50 ratio gears. Could this be too much torque for the setup with my gears and tires? I am estimating 300-325 hp and 470-480 ft-lbs from cam tool at comp cams.
