engine rip
As the title says the engine in my 04 fx4 gave up on me friday now its a reman or used dependin on what the warranty company says to do. Is a 08 model 5.4 a drop in replacement or do i need extra parts for it? If thats the way i have to go thanjs

From what I understand is that in 07 ford redesigned there 5.4 because of the issues with the cam phasers don't get me wrong it's the same engine with cam phasers but better I blew my 05 5.4 engine with 73k on it I had it rebuilt for around $2500 I did everything but the machine work myself to save money I hope this helps good luck
