Engine Compartment Wiring -56

Hi!
I am working on some rewiring between the Headlight Switch and the engine/alternator/starter relay. I would like to keep an original look and found some nice wiring clips for the inner fender and fire wall but I am not sure what to do with the Wiring Harness? Was the wiring open or covered from the factory? I am thinking about something like this
or just use a cloth tape like this! Suggestions are appreciated. I hope you understand most of my old school english.

I think the wiring was mostly covered with like the cloth tape.
Ya have a nice truck there.
Maybe put your location in the header like most others have it.
And your truck does look right at home in Sweden.

Are ya putting in new wires one at a time?
Or a complete engine harness from one of the venders?
Not sure what you are doing.

Thanks a lot!!!
I was just going to install the Neutral Safety Switch when I found 2 bed wires in the harness. Because it was the two heavier wires between Alternator-Headlight Switch and Battery-Headlight Switch I thought I had high voltage from the Alternator. I checked the Alternator and it regulates just fine (13.5V-14.2V) so I suppose it's an old damage. The previous owner
replaced most of the wiring and everything looks good so I am only going to replace the 2 bad wires and drive with the harness open for a while just to be sure everything are okey. Later I would like to cover the Harness again with something and change some of the clips.

Ps. I tried to put location in the header but failed. I will try again!!!
