With a little bit of wire out the back on the new part, it no longer stay in my side marker light housing I tried the socket below it and fits and locks in so its not the housing. Now is this socket the same as the socket that goes into the licence plate spot?
What you're showing does look like the license plate socket. I know that they specify the same bulb 194 (license plate) vs 194NA (NA=amber for marker light).
It looks like (in your photo) its not staying in place because its missing the little fiber/foam "washer" that seals the socket when you press it in and twist.
The license plate socket is listed as Motorcraft WPT-964 (1U2Z-14S411-BDB).
Applications:
• Lamp - Courtesy - Door
• Lamp - License
• Lamp - Rear Park
• Lamp - Reverse
• Lamp - Side Marker
• Lamp - Stop/Park
Cool thanks for the info I think I'll just get a new socket cause that one is dirty and oxidized thanks again now I know and thanks for the pdf too. Most appreciated
