Hey guys, I thought id share a pic of the original jack that was in my truck,
This is its maximum height. I was wondering if anyone can give me some details on it. whats the weight rating? anyone got any pics of all the original equipment? jack, jack rods? call them what you wish.
Looks original just like all 6 that i have owned. Here's a picture of my 79 one and a 92 one from a ranger , not much difference. I have never used one , i use a hydro one . Looks like they might tip over and i just keep the 92 one just in case i blow a seal in the hydro one.
If they are maintained the original jacks actually aren't that bad. I've got a '98 and the jack that came in it looks no different from the one in my '76 Crew except for a small plastic piece that allows you to run the jack up or down with your fingers instead of having to use the long handle before you have a load on it.
I try not to use the factory lug wrenches on anything. The fit is too loose and I've seen lug nuts rounded by them.
Im looking for one for my 75 F250..... PO cant remember what happened to it lol
Anyone have one to sell or can recommend a newer one that will fit it the original space under the hood?
I agree they look like they might tip over but I dont want to drive around with something in the bed
