I'm starting on the 96 F-150 after work today. Hoping I don't need to replace the headgasket (its a 4.9L), its sat for 3 years.

I have to finish fixing a friends ***** (Chevrolet is a bad word on this website). GM had the "brilliant" idea of CPFI where the fuel regulator is inside of the intake plenum! *Mind blown*

Just got done putting the new radiator in and running it. Looks like its time to yank the head. Did a block test and flunked. I think I'm just gonna pull the motor and go through it, beside pulling the head in the truck is not my idea of fun.

Update on the F-150. Decided to pull the water pump on a hunch and this is what I found. I think its alittle shot. Installed a new pump and everything seems to be running good.

Hey guys,
I am still kicking. The warm sticky weather is killer here at Ft Stewart with all our combat gear on. Just about a week of training left to go and then we get to head back home. I have been lucky with not too much stuff breaking down and most of that has been quick fixes. Got my physical and all that other pre combat medical check stuff completed. We have been very busy with long days but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel now!!!!

On the way in:

And all hooked up and running again!

Welcome back Jason,
We are finally back at the armory cleaning, inventorying and putting away our field gear. I am so glad that 3 weeks of training is over. One small victory is we drove all our equipment home!!!!! Man it's nice and cool here in Winder, looks like fall is coming quick. This month sure did fly by quick, hard think October is only a few days away.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
I watched the Georgia game last night and man was that an awesome game or what ??? Back at work early doing admin stuff so hopefully I can get out of here early. The falcons game is a night game so hopefully the south bound lanes will have light traffic.

Great weekend up here. Low's in the low 50's at least and nice and warm during the day. LOVE this weather! Monday is turning out to be a nice follow-up, maybe even a little cooler this AM. The leaves are really starting to turn, I'll try to fire up the Oct chat thread with some pics for you southerners.
