Changing intake manifold gaskets, Any tips?
Need to stop worrying and just do it
Got some information on installing it on web
But a clear bolt tightening sequence diagram would
be nice. Any tips or helpful hints or shortcuts to make this go smoothly.
Thanks 1997 flareside supercab 76000 miles 4.2
truck built in 8-96 except for the many recalls truck alway worked great .coil pack just died last week.

Went out and gave a hard look at what needed to be done.
Looks like it would be easier if the upper part is pulled first.
.Ordered an cd manual on ebay said it was a ford manual on cd for $1.99 WOW but we will see when we get it if it is.Please big green ford make it thru another week. 70000miles now
Maybe I will take pictures and post them my web site with some detailed instruction.

Still,I forgot all about this.When I first got my 97,the trans had a slight shudder to it.I read online about tightening the valve body bolts,but no one had a bolt schamatic.So,I went to my local Ford dealer and asked if they could give me the sequence.They did better then that;they let me look thru the same books they actually use day to day.And let me use there copier to print it.So,you might want to do as I did;ask the service techs to look at there books.What can they say, no?I think not.
