Power locks

It seems my door locks work sometimes but they are getting weak. Do they put an assist capacitor inline to the actuator

You know what? My power locks hardly ever work. If I hit it a couple times it gets weaker and weaker. If any body knows how to get these to work again, please help.

I think we are talking about the exact same problem.... There has to be a capacitor in line some where that charges up and then when you hit the switch it uses that charge.. has anyone had this problem and most of all does anyone have a resolution..

I had a ford tech look at it and he said that they have seen this alot he will look into the problem at work and see what the problem and fix are i will keep you posted

sweet. Thanks. I am really getting tied of reaching over to open the passenger side door. It sucks. The passenger side doesn't hardly work at all now.

I traced wires all weekend and found nothing yet. I am determinded to find out if there is a relay in the door or a charge capacitor in the door. I will be ripping the door skin off tonight

ok i got it figured out the actuators are week there is no relay and what a piece of s@#$ design. I have to replace the actuators which are made of plastic
