Out on the road going to the mountains and guess what kind of convoy I saw today? I saw 3 2013 Ford Rangers!! All plates had Michigan on them and some sort of warning sticker on the side doors. Could this mean they will be releasing the Rangers again in the US? I sure hope so!! I got a video and a few pics. I was in the passenger seat when this happened. The red Limited version has the 2.2l I hope that is a diesel. The orange Wildtrak has the 3.2l I am guessing that is a gas engine. The third truck was white and had some different back end. I couldn't get that cause we passed him. The new rangers are quite good looking and rugged.
Some of you may already know this but I didn't so I hope they are bringing it back. My guess is Spring 2014.
Not a bad looking truck, but not having a full-size bed would be somewhat of a deal-breaker for me... I wonder what their payload and towing capabilities are like.
Are you sure these are not Toyota "rangers". See under the drivers seat, about where the drivers knees are positioned, in the third picture, behind the 'running board' or step bar. I see "Toyota" ...
And what is E19? Scribbled on the rear door and gas fill door...

I noticed that too. However the truck in the video has the Ford emblem on the tailgate and grill.

Were the plates regular Michigan plates, i.e., 3 or 4 letters followed by 4 or 3 numbers, or were they manufacturer plates? I know there was a lot to see in a relatively short period of time, but if the plates are "manufacturer" one, that would lend some credence to the trucks being Ford products.
While I know Ranger sales fell off during the last few years that Ford built them, but some modernization and better fuel economy, especially a Diesel, would fill a hole in the Ford truck lineup.
Wow, count me out. IMO, it looks like a rebadged Toyota, it would likely sell big time here though, judging by the love affair the younger crowd has with rice.
Even the name, "T6", makes me recall the "T100".
Ignorant rednecks. Europe has been selling these things for a while. The Ranger was long overdue for a redesign. While I am not completely satisfied with the changes, the looks are not among my complaints. I think this is a very nice looking machine.
And yes, Toyota is copying Ford.
If there are diesel offerings, I would buy one in a heartbeat.

I sure hope they offer the diesel cause I would be like you and buy one in a snap.
