Trans code T and 14 bolt pan = AOD.
First thing is to check fluid level, you said it's fine but how exactly did you do this? The correct way is on a level surface, with transmission warm and engine idling. Shift into each position on the gearshift and let the trans actually complete the shift. Start from park, stop at each position, then work your way back to park again. Now you can pull the stick and check the level. The reason you have to hit all the gears first is to allow oil to fill the accumulators and clutch drums, etc.
Second thing... the kickdown cable on an AOD not only controls kickdown, but also controls line pressure. Meaning, if you don't have it adjusted right, you could burn up the transmission in just a few miles. There is a procedure for it, check the repair manual for your truck or try a search online. This cable is also known as a TV Cable (throttle valve cable).

Well I checked it propper runnin through the gears and all that and Ive driven prolly a good 1200 miles since the sliping not engageing started and just come home from a weekend trip and racked up about 250 miles and picked up the additives on my way home and put them in before takin my girlfriend home and put about 40 more miles on her ive only been runnin it in drive cause im afraid if I keep tryin od it might just start getin worse and ill loose more gears the previous owner a ford mech had a jasper rebuilt put in about 70000 miles back so I figure it shoulda went a little longer then that but maybe its rebuild time I just cant afford it in both money and down time with it bein my only wheels
