Any bodyshop guys have any idea on how this could be fixed in lieu of replacing the bumper.

Run a carfax on it and if the damage is over $2500 either reject the truck or get a large reduction in price. Do you own it or is it still the dealers?

That could be hammered out then filled in with body filler and repainted in less than a day. I however would push for a new bumper. In many states if the vehicle has less than 2,000 miles on the odometer it has to be repaired with new parts not recycled parts or non OEM parts.

This could work to your advantage, if you would prefer the chrome bumpers over the painted bumpers make the chrome bumper replacement a condition of accepting delivery of the truck. Since this is on a new non titled vehicle and being dealer handled it will most likely never show up on an insurance claim or Carfax being an internal cost repair.

Hi spinningwheel,

Shoot your information over to me in a PM; I'll get your regional customer service manager on this, too. To get the ball rolling, I'll need your name, phone number, VIN, current mileage, and dealership name/location.

Thanks!

Crystal

Well I took delivery of the truck. The dealer supplied a brand new primed bumper and it is being painted by a friend of mine who owns a body shop.He has done alot of work for me before and is very good, dealer is paying him and Ford is paying the dealer. It was either do it this way or order a new truck and wait again.Other than that the truck looks terrific and runs great.
