1994 Ford 300 Six E4OD low power and herky jerky
Hello All,
My 1994 Ford F150 300 Six has given me three codes, the first on was 122, which is supposed to be TPS low voltage. I replaced the TPS, but it still reads low voltage. I did the test with a volt meter. Throttle closed .03 volts; mid throttle .02 volts, throttle open 0.00 volts. I know the idle screw was adjusted a few years ago on my truck. I understand that was a no-no.
Also got code 172, which is supposed to be the oxygen sensor; I haven't touched it yet.
Also got code 411. I read this thread: 1995 F-150 4.9 E4od code 411, 412 low idle... How do you perform the the FORD idle set screw procedure ?
Can I have the truck converted to dual exhaust after it is fixed without causing problems?

Those TPS readings are all wrong.. are you sure you're measuring the right wire? Are you getting the reference voltage at the TPS connector? If not you may have a chewed or broken wire in the harness, or maybe there is something going on at the EEC connector. It may be a good idea to test the harness to see if you have continuity from it to the TPS sensor, just make sure to disconnect the battery beforehand to avoid damaging the computer.
