DB Electrical

I need a new starter for my F250, and found it for 84 bucks online at DB Electrical. Anyone have any experience with them?

They offer free shipping and 1 year warranty, and the 84 dollar price tag really fits my budget at the moment.

I bought one from them for my 68 C20, mounts to the bell housing. It's made in China, I think. But very heavy duty. I was impressed with it. I think they stated this either on there web site or in a paper that came with it. Something about stricter quality control and I think it may be US parts but assembled in China.

All I know is that they don't last on the super duty trucks very long. Most just rebuild. I got one from auto zone several years back when My van wasn't starting very good, and it is still running strong. I know they got cheap now so don't know how good they would be. 86 van, 6.9l.

Placed my order, hoping for the best. Even if it only lasts a few months, it's better than sitting dead in the water right now.

I've heard some really good things about the DB electrical starter, so you should be ok.

ii had one in the 88, got around 60,000 miles out of it compared to the 200,000 out of the ford starters.
the one in it now is a ford starter that was rebuilt by a local shop for $92.
