Dana 60 question
5. Remove the wheel lock nut, lock
washer and wheel bearing adjustment
nut, using Tool T7OT-4252-D or
T7OT-4252-E. Under no condition
should the lock nut be removed with
a chisel. Discard the lock washer.
taken from ford service man. what are those tool numbers equivalent to?

I'm guessing that those numbers refer to the spindle nut socket. Available at the local auto parts place. 2.5" I believe.

2-9/16 is the
correct size...
Though a 2-1/2
could be made to "work".
The cost is the same.....just buy the 2-9/16

Ouch! prices have went up...
It's one of those 1-2 use tools, you'll lend it out more than you'll use it (unless you're a mechanic)
So i'd just buy the cheapest....

I used a large flat head screw driver on mine because previous owner already had big groves in the nut. Then I replaced it with the Locking nut (all one peice) type from the J-yard instead of the 2 nut and tab locking washer type that was on my 79.
