This old man is still learning to be very carefull when speaking to sales people!! I should know better by now! I talked to 2 sales people at inline tubes and was given the wrong information both times! I was looking for the right front brake line - on my 77 it is the one with a hard line as part of the rubber going to the caliper - and of course they did not have it. We decided on going stainless and it seems I did not use the term "braided" so I was given a part number for all the hard lines to order. Not what I needed. The second time I called I asked if they had to make the lines - again I did not use the term "braided" - and was told they were in stock. Now I am told that is not the case and of course they do not take returns. So - when talking to inline tubes be very carefull you make sure the sales person knows what you are looking for!! If you need stainless steel lines to replace your rubber make sure you use the term "BRAIDED lines"!!!
Any body in Seattle need some stainless steel hard lines for their truck??

Reason: adding more information
With inline tube ,I beleive you can send a pattern or original brake lines for an exact copy.I have a question for any one that has used inline tube.On my highboy my rear axle tube ,breather and three way brake line port,Has any one sent theirs to inline,to have the braided line cinched.I sorta dont feel good sending that away, just thought Id ask.Does that verticle brake line un- screw from that block
I worked with Inline on a hot rod project. I had a set of lines from another vendor that did not fit my custom setup. After talking to Inline, I made a mock up of what I needed by simply cutting the lines I had and slipping some fuel hose over the brake lines. Once length and fitting orientation was correct I put hose clamps over the fuel hose and sent it in to Inline. They sent me back a perfect fitting set of stainless braided lines. I was happy.
Have to agree that if you want the right replacement item it is best to send either a very detailed picture or the actual item! No matter who you order from!
Or do it yourself if you have the skill and tools.
The reviews at other forums for classic tubes Classic Tube, Preformed Tubing supports a much better customer service attitude. Chris at inline tells me that if I ship the hard lines back they will send me the braided lines I was originally looking for. I am leaning towards doing that. Likely better than just eating $230.

Sure looks like there is no way to unscrew the line from the block. Suspect its all one piece. Have you talked to classic tubes? Now that I know better I would call them/send them the picture and ask what they can do. You could also call inline tubes and do the same. Just be sure they understand what you need!!!
That block does not unscrew. The block is made to be crimped to the hose. Trying to unscrew it will destroy it (if it was still good).
Just an added note. I've always used Inline Tube for my project(s) and have always been pleased.
EDIT: The lines that you see in the picture that Lafermedavid posted of my frame are Inline Tube stainless steel lines.
ok Mike ,so did you send block to inline ,or were you able to find nos,my block works ,just would like to have hose replaced or purchase new block, thankyou

Bought the line new from the local parts store.
They're still available over the counter. No need for custom made.

Actually, the breather isn't an integral part of the brake hose, it's a separate part similar to a bolt. It also is used to hold the block in place and most have a 7/16"-20 thread.
Lafermedavid, if your breather doesn't come out, more than likely dirt or corrosion has built up and is keeping it from pulling out of the block.
Another FYI. The actual breather hole is pretty small and clog up very easily. Before you reinstall it, remove the hose and run a small drill bit through the breather hole. This will help avoid "mysterious" axle seal leaks.
wow you would have never thought that was separate, looking at my 40 year old part, delima solved Brilliant, sometimes its the little things that trip you up,hope this helped others
