Clutch sensor
My friend has a 1989 f-250 with the 5.8 motor. Its a 4wd with the manual transmission. His sensor that says whether or not the clutch is pushed in so that it will start has quit working. These are fairly expensive new so is there anyway to just bypass it or is he going to just give in and bu one?
Thanks

I cant stand clutch switches, I bypass them on all of my vehicles. the one on these trucks are a pita relative to other vehicles. you need to tie the power wire (believe its the red one [with blue stripe?]) with the switch feed. im not sure which one is the switch feed off hand, an easy way to confirm is to use a jumper wire across the hot wire (unplug the harness), and to the others successively while holding the ignition in the start position. when it starts, that's the wire you have to tie.
