That is a great looking rig.....my wife and I looked at an Alpine before I deployed and they sure are nice. I know you will have many great adventures with them both!!!

Best Wishes,

If you are going to repair the roof yourself with eternabond, I was told by a RV repair shop in Elkhart, In, to be sure and calk around the edge of the eternabond so that the edge does not lift and get dirt under it, and eventually come loose. Very nice rig. The leveling jacks are on my wish list.

thank you.. off to the rv store to get some patch stuff.
stuff to adapt my 60 amp welder service to 50 amp rv service, so I can run the a/c.
and a dehumidifier.. windows open now, and tarps off to dry in the sun!..

yes, you need some self leveling caulk to seal the edges.

thanks for the reminder

seems I might have a problem with mine. in the rain, the left front leg retracted some.. not sure why.

when the back dries out some (should have pulled it closer to the house on the rock road), I'll pull the trailer up and test it out again.

the dually is holding the trailer up at the moment.. and I expect we'd cut 12 inch deep ruts if I tried now!..

I know y'all were needing the rain so no one is mad about that, for sure, we got 2.50 in
of rain here on Friday and it was great. Good luck with getting it all dryed out and
roof fixed. Where did you go to for your frist camping trip?

the big lake here, Lake Travis, is up over a foot today.. only 63 more to full!

roof is repaired, dehumidifier running.. only got about 1/2 cup of water off the carpet with the carpet cleaner vac.

We just picked up the unit in Michigan on Monday 9/16. So just drove home and stopped on the way.

we have a few trips in mind.. some family and some not. My Mom turns 100 in the spring, and it will be nice to have the trailer available.
want to see Yosemite, and that largest ball of twine!..

thanks, will do.. I meant to ask.. how does your measured height compare to the documented height?

mine is supposed to be 12'8" to the top of the front A/C.

to measure height, I used a 3 2x4's and a level. I clamped (2) 2x4's together to make a vertical piece that was over 14' long. Then I set the third 2x4 on top the highest point on my trailer (happens to be the front A/C unit). then I leveled that 2x4 against the plumb (vertical 2x4's) and camped it together so transfer the height over the to the vertical 2x4's. I then measure to from the bottom of the clamped 2x4's to the horizontal 2x4 mark that I transferred on to it. Mine is 13'-4" so I need to be careful.

According to KZ it is 13'1" but it is just a pinch higher.

Wow, didn't know that RV's were up to 13'4 high. That's way up there. Mine is 12'8 and
that's to high, I have to look at ever bridge I go under on 2 lane roads.
