Air Filter Question

I've got the 352 V8 on my 65 F250, However I don't have the original oil bath air cleaner on it, What is the big difference between that and a paper air filter? Is the oil bath air cleaner much higher maintenance? Just curious and would like to have some input - and to decide whether I should take the hassle to look for one to keep it original or not.... Thanks for any info!

Air Filter Question

Oil bath or paper, neither is better but the paper is toss and replace every so many miles. Oil bath takes 30 minutes to clean. You would be cheaper in the long run to use paper, as large as will fit. Stay away from those small tri-power types as they restrict airflow something serious.

Air Filter Question

I wanted a stock-appearing engine without the hassle - and mess - of the oil-bath, so I hogged out the original canister and put a paper type inside. Works great.
