Does my envy show? Your story is inspiring to those of us who have a lot longer road to travel. Nice job.

Congrats on the drive !

Good lookin truck; and the time frame is so short. I spent 8 years on getting mine registered and am still working out the bugs

Thanks all for the kind words. I was concerned when I got the project that I wouldn't stick with it as it was rather overwhelming to look at everything that needed done when I got it - namely, everything.

I did it backwards for that reason. I did the most of the body work first as I had never done any before and figured if I got burned out and walked away from the project, I would have a minimal investment at that point - mainly labor, and we all know that our labor is free.

Overall, I am quite happy with the progress and couldn't have done it without the support and help from members of this site. Still a ways to go, but this was the major milestone that most of us strive for to keep us going.

Now it is back to the garage to mount some headlights, figure out a different gas pedal system, and maybe start trying to figure out what is up with my minimal brakes.

Thanks again,
Dave
