I have been researching the thought of changing my exhaust system on my 2012 F250 6.7 Turbo Diesel and wondered what works best for a little rumble and HP.
I was looking at $700+ MagnaFlow options and then wondered how that affects the exhaust fluid system.
Any thoughts on options or info on the exhaust fluid system?
I am not an expert on this. But you want to be very careful about any mods while you are under warranty. If Ford (or any other manufacturer) can say that a mod adversely affected something and that is what caused the problem, the repairs are on you. For example, if you modify the exhaust, you are potentially affecting the whole emissions system. If you then have trouble with some component of the emissions system, Ford could blame that on the third party exhaust.
That is not to say that you can't make some mods; you just have to be aware of possible ramifications to your warranty. There are others here who are far more versed on this than I. When my warranty is up, I plan to do a DEF delete and eliminate that from my truck.
If it only goes after the DPF, it won't:
affect your warranty
impact the Urea injection
make a difference in the sound
It looks like you are checking out exhausts that replace the emission system however (based on the cost you quoted) - which will impact all of the above, and will need an "off-road" tuner that will allow you to run the vehicle without a DPF.

My understanding is if it replaces the dual tip temperature reducing tips at the end of the exhaust that it can affect the warranty. Correct me if I'm wrong. Facts only not assumptions.
You are right, but that should only impact the exhaust temperature (those tips are to prevent burns to people walking past the truck when it is re-genning), and I would be surprised if it impacted the warranty - but I have seen dealers pull crazier stuff.
