I justed purchased my new 2004 F150 Ford Lariat 4X4. I want to do a couple up grades but am worried about voiding the warranty. Does anyone no if changing the exhaust system will void the warranty?

Check out this link. I found it about a year ago when I was worried about voiding my warranty by putting on bigger tires and idfferent rims. Click on the warranty issues and bill of rights link on the left side. A lot of good info. http://www.semasan.com/
I thought as long as you didn't mess with the cats then it did not void the warranty.....
You can replace the cats as well, you just can't take them out and put a straight pipe in it's place. Alot of MFGs sell high flow cats to replace the OEM cats
I just got off the phone with the dealership and was informed that it will not affect my warranty. It's time to get some dual flowmasters put on!!!!! Thanks for all the replys.

Interesting. I didn't know that. Figured Ford would try to blame stuff on the new cats. Good info to know. Thanks!

It is "technically" a federal offense to remove a working catalytic convertor. It doesnt matter if it is replaced with a high flow unit or not. Ive run high flows in the past, without issues. If you do alter the cat/Y pipe, the warranty will be voided. If you merely change out the catback, you are in the clear.
