Hey all, in the process of getting my DP-tuner re-flashed for my truck. I replaced a couple injectors a month ago, in #8 and #4 with AD's, Clay at RiffRaff said it would work since I have the FRx installed. Here's the problem, I'm getting an intermintent ses light, seems to go away after it's warmed up. Justin @ DP wanted to know the code but I don't have AE. I'm guessing at this point but it's probably a soft code.
Thanks for any help in this matter, Bill
Without pulling the code there's not a lot to be said. Are you driving while this happens? Are you hard in the throttle? Anyone near you with AE or similar than can pull the codes for you?

I would go by a auto parts store or dealership and have them read the codes. They don't use AE, but it will help knowing what it is. Do you have or know anyone with a flash programmer. SCT,Edge, Hypertech, etc...
If it pops up again and goes away do not unplug the batteries. It will reset the code(s) until it comes on again.
How long does it take for the light to go out? A few seconds or several minutes?

Yes usually driving, not hard on the throttle. No one near with AE but there's a diesel performance shop about 35 miles from me I tried to call. Will keep after them.

Light goes out after a few seconds, seem to come on with a little throttle.

Also, check out the Ohio chapter on here a few doors down to see if anyone closer can read the codes for you.

Keep in mind most auto parts stores will not have the tool to pull codes from your truck.

Actually it will be better than not having anything at all. I send people to O'Reillys all the time and what they have is fine for reading codes. Cheaper than the dealership. Not good for data logging, but they can pull diesel codes. Just tell them you need it to read diesel codes.

I tried the local O'reilly Wed. nite after work and he couldn't pull any.
After the thing is good and warm usually 20 min. or so, the ses light won't come on at all. I even tried mashing it going up a hill and it stayed off.
