So... one of these days I am going to do my headliner and that looks great. I currently don't have anything up there but the supports. Are the holes in the cardboard pre-drilled or is it a major pain inthea to fit the headliner?

thank you. All I had was supports as well...looking back I would have put some kind of sound deadner or insulation, but I just put mine up. This headliner isn't cardboard backed...it is ABS (plastic) backed. Yes, all holes are predrilled and I only used what holes they have pre-drilled. Start with the center section...center it up and work to the outsides. It is a little bit of a chore to be honest...a lot of bending and fitting. But, I didn't have to cut anything. With 2 guys it took a couple hours and a few beers...no rush. If I can do it, anyone can. Let me know if you need anymore pictures and I can send to you.

Thanks! May take me a little longer with more beer, but I will give it a shot. Looks awesome, and damn sure looks better than the **** carpet the previous owner had up there in mine. When you slammed the door it rained carpet fuzz on your head. The truck sat since 2007 and I just got it 6 mos ago. I actually set off 3 bug bombs in that truck for the spiders in the carpet etc.

I bought a new headliner from Dennis Carpenter and installed it. It was difficult to say the least. Its some sort of very thin pressed wood product that wants to snap when forced into the kind of extreme bend needed in the curved parts of the fridge ceiling. There was a little note that recommended wetting the board before installing...to help keep it from snapping. I misted mine and it helped but it also weekens the board kinda like wetting cardboard. What I ended up doing was lightly misting the new headliner side pieces and clamping them to the old headliner and let them set overnight and dry. It worked pretty well as they maintained most of the bends when they dried. My main problem was the very weak spots where the mount holes are drilled. They're so close to the edge of the wood that when you mount the piece and screw it in....the stress of the screws causing the board to bend into position broke out that weak area around 2 of the screws. If this thread had shown up before I bought my headliner I would have gotten one of these ABS units in black. Oh well.
