powermax and tuning

so i got the powermax ordered now for programming. I have the SCT programmer how well will the canned tunes work with the pm?

I am going to get custom tunes thinking about getting them from matt at gearhead. I use the pickup for everything towing 1000# up to 10000# highway driving and off road would like to see some mileage increase on highway unloaded trips. What do you guys think of his tunes?

I also put the MTW billet wheel on my powermax and now it runs GREAT !!!
I love my tunes from Matt.
You should also think about a FICM tune.
It help with MPG and also with lag.

Power Hungry Performance out of GA. They can perform a hard tune of your FICM or you can buy a tuner with 4 different tunes.

I did there hard tune before they had the tuner.
So I think it is the 40hp one.

How long ago did you have it tuned?? I had mine done before the tuner came out. I then went back and got it upgraded to the Atlas 40.

Does MTW even still have the billet wheel or does it come from somewhere else?

That is what I think Heavy.
Is was before they had all the options and it was just a FICM tune.

Another source for the single plane is Barder Turbo Service.

Matt does a good job tuning for the powermax.

I have the SRL for non-studded and the 8000# tow and unlimited tow.

I also have the Atlas 40 FICM.

Now, I got the Atlas 40 and Powermax turbo at the same time. I didn't get tuning for 8 months. I didn't see an increase in mileage with just the Atlas 40. I did see an increase of 2 mpg with tuning for the powermax. (hand calculated, over many trips on the same route)

The lag with out tuning was terrible. I'm glad I went with Matt for tuning the powermax.

Can you get ficm tunes after custom tunes. Or does matt need to know that did a ficm tune?
