Replacing air tubes question.

I have a 95 f250 w/ a 351 my rear tube is rusted and making quite a raquet. Does the motor need to be pulled to get these out? Can I gain access by removing y pipe. I was also concidering cutting firewall and welding it up after the surgery. Let me know your technique or any tips you may have thanks

Are you talking about the reed valve beside of the heater a/c box, behind the plenum?

Take the plenum off, and you can get right at it. You may need a torch to get it to break loose.

If you are talking about the air tube going into the cat, you will have to do some welding to fix that one.
They make a silicon hose that you can attach between the repair, and the existing tube

Any good parts house should have it.
It comes as a part of a kit with a new catalytic converter, but I have bought it in sections before
Some place like Napa should be able to help you

OOPs, I missed 351.

There is a lot of piping on the 351. I would kind of need a picture of that.
Quite possibly, a previous owner has removed part or most of the system

Everyone was a newby at one time or another, lol, so ask away, we'll do what we can to help

No problem. when you sign in tomorrow, go to usercp on the left, that will take you back to where you have posted, so you can find your thread easily

If you need to post pictures, it is easiest to use a host site like photobucket
