It's not ignorance, it's sheer stupidity. These guys just don't seem to know any better. Angles of winching, secure mounting points, and safe operation of equipment aren't that hard to learn and an intelligent operator would NEVER be that careless. To further prove my point once the axle started to have issues in the very beginning an intelligent person would have tried something else and not just "gone for it". It's to bad that winch cable didn't snap and somehow castrate the lot of them... the gene pool could use guys like that out of it.

The entire front end was smashed in. But I think you know this!!
Yep, but can't you just picture someone pulling safely over to the side of the road and calling for help with a flat. Those "tow truck operators" show up, start to jack up the car, oops, it slide down the hill, hmm, pull it up out of the ditch before anyone notices, oops there goes the rear end. I have an idea, stick wood under it and I'll hold onto the bumper, wait, first let me stick my head under this beast to make sure we didn't damage anything.
I can totally see this video ending up on that TV show "worlds dumbest" with some great captions and voice overs. It would be too easy.
Hey guys, I'm new here and trying to see what you think my Ex is worth. It's black in color with limited trim. Originally from British Columbia, Canada; it's okay, we don't salt our roads up here, no rust! New suspension and paint job. It has a salvaged title, but it's only because of the age of the truck and the fact that we got in a "fender bender." There couldn't have been more than $1,000 in damage, but you know insurance companies. It has a "bulletproofed" 6.0 diesel motor. Yeah, like real "bulletproofed" done by the best bulletproofers in our area, I verified it on the internet, but I can't remember the name of the shop right now. I'm asking $35,000 Canadian, $25,000 US. You won't find a deal like this anywhere else.
