Auto transmission
Looking to replace 4 speed out of my 75 with an automatic, has 390 in it, what transmission should I look for and what years. Friend has a c6 with 205 transfer, not sure what year and believes it was mounted to a 351.

With divorced tc you have a little leway with what you can do. however you will have to find a c6 with the FE bellhousing, the c6 is cast so there isn't any way to just swap them. you can use a c6 out a 2wd and just shorten the drive shaft but it would just be better to use the 4x4 version out of a highboy so that you can still hook up the tcase shifter.
c6 came out with the fe in 65 but not sure on the 65-72 4x4 set up, I'm sure some others will chime in.
