Gentlemen,
I have a 1990 F150 with 186,000 miles, that doesn't get driven much anymore. Th clutch makes a squeaking noise, like rubber on rubber, or rubber on metal, when I depress the clutch pedal. It's also noisy with the clutch depressed; less so when the clutch is engaged.
I tried spraying WD-40 randomly in the area of the pedal in the interior footwell and near the brake booster, but that didn't help. It sounds like its coming from behind the brake booster in the engine bay, but I can't see in that area between the booster and the firewall.
Any ideas what's causing this noise, and how it can be fixed?
Thanks,
Randy
