For the guy that said he heard Aussie 2V heads don't flow as good as Chev heads......well, I'm looking at my extra set of Aussies and you know what, the ports are identical to the early US 2V heads.

There is nothing mystical about these heads. The ports are identical to the US 351C 2V but the chambers are closed like the closed chamber 4V BUT the chambers are smaller. The avg size is 58cc so using these on ANY 351 US or Aussie will raise your compressing to well beyond 11:1. BTW, these heads were ONLY used on the Aussie only 302C which used a different set of rods and pistons from its big brother 351C to keep the compression ratio in the 9:1 range. Also, all Aussie 351C 2V heads were open chamber just like the US 2V heads.

So, if the Aussie heads don't flow as good as a set of Chev heads, then all 2V heads flow like crap.......but I sure I have some head flow data here that will contradict that.

I've never heard that the Aussie 302C heads flow badly and according the information on this page: 351C & Aftermarket Head Flow Data that doesn't seem to be the case. It looks to me like they flow as well as U.S. 2V C heads.

This is only what I've heard, and this was from the shop that did the grind on my cam. Cam Research. They specialize in Fords.

the story;
I had the 4V open chambers heads, and was going to have them done up for stud mounted rockers. Then was informed the open heads are crap and not to waist my money machining them, and should to go with the stock 2V. This was from the local hotrod shop.

Then I was thinking that I'll go with the Aussies heads and get better comression ratio. And that's when I was told by the guys at Cam Research that they are nice but don't even have the flow of a Chevy 350, and I would be getting beat by them. There for I oppted for a set of Quench heads, and had them machined for studs. They should be at 11.5:1 CR.

I've also heard from another forum that I hang out in (fordmuscle.com) that with some porting of the aussie heads, they will have that flow and torque for an ultimate street machine.

This is all "hear say", but I did a ton of home work before spending a ton of dough.

Maybe the selle is the same guy who was positive Ford made a 427CJ. There is no such engine.
$1000 isn't a deal unless it's been rebuilt recently. Not one in pieces. If it's a CJ, the only special parts are the thick H. balancer, cam and 4 bolt caps. Some other Clevelands had 4 bolts also.

I'm not sure why you want so much compression. How will the engine be used, it won't run well in pump gas.
What's your budget like and what kind of power do you want?
