Ah the multiple pig roaster
How much was it worth to you when you used it?
I just went thru dismantling a frame using saw horses and a cherry picker
I cut all the rivets out and replaced with nuts&bolts to hold it together while I moved it around, then removed the nuts&bolts
Day 1 $300, Day 2 $500 Day 3 $700+
I bought it from a guy on ebay who custom built it for his car, a Desoto
It came with a bunch of extra steel tubing so I was able to make it more universal and adjustable. I also added an indexing wheel so I can spin it to and lock in any position I need.
I can't say what yours is worth but I wouldn't take less than $750 for mine once I'm done with it, there's at least that much metal in the thing. I have 3 people standing in line waiting to buy it. I will also tell you I would never have been able to do as much work on my '37 without it. To me it is worth 3-4 times what I think I can get for it.
The next project I am going to get the only tool needed to make it go is an ignition key. No more projects for me, well I do have to get the F-4 on the road, but after that no more projects!!!
Love to have it , don't know what I would do with it, seeing that this is also my last project. Auto Twirler sells their basic model new for about a grand, yours looks just as good as theirs. I don't think that 400-500 would be out of line. If I was closer, ops bite my tongue.
I loved the trip down memory lane, Nathan... we haven't had that kind of fun on here in years... and not to be picky or nuthin....
BUT THIS AIN'T HELPING ME PRICE MY PIG TURNER

I know this might be too scientific but take a look at eBay. There are rotisseries on there all of the time. Compare yours to what is being offered there. Look at the "Completed sales" to get an idea of what they are really selling for. I looked after I read your original post and I think there were comparable ones for around $1000, plus the added shipping. If you could sell it to some one local they'd save on shipping. I'd suggest you start at $750 and see what the reaction is.
Bottom line, what value are you comfortable with? You got you use out of it, would you be happy to have it out of the way and willing to sell it cheap? Do you have the room to store it and hold on to it until the right buyer comes along? I've recently posted a few items on Craigslist and got immediate offers for a fraction of my asking price. I declined the offers, waited a week and got my asking price on both items. If I was in a hurry to unload them I'd probably have taken the first offers.
I'm probably going to ask $750 for mine but settle for a little less if one of the three interested parties offers me less. We haven't really have had a serious discussion about it yet. Once I'm done with it I want it gone. Right now I have made an arrangement with a guy to use his paint booth in trade for the use of my rotisserie. It's a good deal for me in two ways, I get the use of the spray booth and the rotisserie will be out of way fast.
I paid $1,000 for mine about 5 years ago. It was built by a guy who copied the design from a brand name commercial unit and then built the whole thing using all American made components...ever tried finding casters, hydraulics, and other small parts that aren't made in China?
Your setup looks very professional John, I guess it's all what the market will bear in your area.
