I'm having a C6 built for our 1970 F250. I drive this truck daily and tow a camper with it several times a year so I want to prep the transmission for towing. It will have a Kelvar wide band, Rabest clutches, ordering a roller kit from Broader Performance to replace the thrust washers and I will install a towing torque converter. I already have a huge cooler.
I'm wondering if it's worth it to install a a "R" code servo and a sift kit.
You're on the right track, Transgo makes a great shift kit for a C6 p/n#67-1-2
Great for towing! Band was a great upgrade, try Dacco for your converter, think there is one in AL. They do awesome converters, can build to your specs, and won't cost you a fortune. Good Luck
