carb question
i want to change the carb on my 69 f100 it has a 240 with a 1 barrel manuel choke carb. i want to switch it to a 1 barrel aouto choke carb they sell at lmc. my question is will the linkage from the stock carb work for the one i want buy or will i have change it. any info will help thanks

i thought about a rebuild but I don't think that will help. the problem I am having is that its getting really crappy gas mileage. I think it might be because of the manual choke. it idles real high even at its lowest setting. if I put it all the way in it runs real bad. just thought if I got away with the manual choke I could get better gas mileage. thanks for the input

that could be idle adjustment or air/fuel mixture. or any # of internal carb parts.
try rebuilding. I have a 300 with a single barrel Carter YFA manual choke getting 19-21MPG.
Mileage was crap before rebuild.
