This is more a break down and explanation for everyone. Back in the winter it would die almost non stop. If the engine was cold and I started to drive I had to roll stop signs and run lights until it heated or the engine would die and didn't want to start up. If it was under half a tank of gas it would die only at highway speed. It was also strange how it died. I would lose power and there would be no resistance in the gas pedal. Then if I slowed down sometimes it would come back sometimes it wouldn't and my engine would shut off. If I went too fast it would die. If I did anything other than drive under 100kph or 60mph.
Once the spring hit I was able to work on it. I used my dads principal of kiss (keep it simple stupid) and quite a bit of help from fte. The dying when driving too fast and shortly after startup was fixed with vaccum lines and the dying when under a half tank was fixed with the outer filler neck tube being clamped around the tank properly.
I keep trying to think throughout the winter what could cause all that. I'm learning on my truck its usually 2 or 3 or even 4 different things together.
Just tackled a couple more problems that when I thought of each symptom as a different problem the diagnosis was over in an hour or two
Simply food for thought know a lot of you out there have long since figured that out but for some of the less experienced like myself it may help someone I hope anyways.
