Oh... the pressure regulator. OK thanks. I now have realized that the pressure tester I rented has a adapter for ford test ports that does not really fit well on my truck. I have to find an adapter or a different tester. Neither advance or autozone rents one in my area. I rented this one at O'reilly's. I will get back as soon as I find one.
Ok so every tester i rented from the parts store were the same model tester. I went to three places. They all have an adapter for ford that does not fit my 93 5.8 nor does it fit my freinds 94 300 4.9 I6. So I bought an adapter from Ebay that has no schrader valve in it. I ran tests on both vehicles and to my frustration I got no readings with KOEO. Well after returning the testers I read that you are supposed to have the jumper in the test port for the fuel to get KOEO readings.
Correct me if I am wrong but it will be the left slot on the OBD1 test port hook up on the drivers side fender in the engine compartment.
Well KOER pressure test came out good. 34 psi then it jumps to 45 psi when I remove the vacuum from the pressure regulator and it resumes back to 34 when I reconnect. Then 30 seconds after I shut off the engine it has not loss any pressure and 10 minutes it holds at 22 psi.
So I am in the clear on the pressure test right? Or do I have to re-do the KOEO?
