Go with a single mass flywheel and clutch. LUK makes a good one. I had a 97 with a DMFW, had it replaced with the LUK setup. Pedal effort is cut in half. Try www.carolinaclutch.com or www.southbendclutch.com
Have you had any proplems with it? I also heard that you need the dual mass flywheel cause of the torque. Email me at lbjozey(No Email Addresses In Posts!). Thanks
I have a 97 f350 that HAD a dmfw. It tends to split, it seems. Mine was replaced with an LUK. You need a different clutch with the single mass flywheel. Since the change I have had no problems.
We have sold thousands of the Luk setup replacing the OE dmfw. The Luk actually carries ahigher torque capacity, is alot smoother, more durable and has a much lighter pedal. Let me know if you want some additional info or give me a call.
