Thumping Noise in 4x4 front end Help?
Guys I picked up a 02 F250 CC SB V10 4x4 83k 37 Toyo MT & 8 lift.
I have been servicing everything to get it up to 100% before winter.
I need some help with my 4x4. It is going in and out via ESOF dash switch and stock auto hubs, but when in 4x4HI i am getting a thumping sound that increase with speed up to about 15mph and then appears to disappear or not decernable with the 37" MT. It is much more pronounce when I turn the wheel.
When in 4x2 all is quiet and smooth, when hubs are locked but transfer case is not engaged all is quiet (4x2 with hubs locked spinning axle and front drive line)
I have serviced front Danda 60 with 75W-90W synthetic, and inspected all looks good, I have changed fluid in transfer case, and I have lubed front ford auto hubs per Guzzle's info. Auto hubs are operating fine.
Is this a sign of Needle bearing being dry or damaged?
Any other direction would be appreciated.
Thanks
