Added Hellwig's rear sway bar...

Recently I purchased and added "Hellwigs' rear sway bar to my '11 f350sb 4x4. While driving I can tell that the truck corners much flatter in the turns then it used to. I haven't tried it yet with the 5th wheel on the truck, but I figure that with all that weight back there I probably won't notice anything.

Here is the 7714 kit. There isn't much to it but that sway bar has some weight behind it.

Once installed.

The hardest part is behind the def tank. I have a swb truck so it was a long reach up to where it mounts. It can be done but it makes the job last a while longer. I suspect it was a few hours to install and most of that was the upper left side.

I initially installed the link bars in the hole that the instructions suggested (in picture) but after a few drives, I moved it to the middle hole and that is where I noticed it was helping so I left it. I have not tried the 3rd hole as of yet and I probably won't.

So far no squeaks or any adverse effects that I can tell. As you can see I also have the bilstein shocks, but I find them pretty stiff with nothing in the bed of the truck. Once I have a m/c back there the ride is much nicer then the stock fx4 shocks.

I like how it's on the top side of the diff so that there's no chance of it scraping on anything. My OEM sway bar hangs a bit low especially now with the lift springs. I already put longer end links but it's a tradeoff between the front part of the swaybar hanging too low or the rear part since it pivots on the bottom side of the axle.... this design eliminates that problem entirely.

Hellwig SWAY BAR

I actually installed the FoMoCo sway bar on my 2012 F350 after ordering the specific parts from FORD....I had a 2000 F-250 with the stock Heavy duty Sway Bar. Ford's current sway bar is tiny in comparison to Hellwig. I sure wish I had known about the Hellwig Bar before I bought the FORD unit!!!! FORD shop tried to tell me the new flimsy bar is comouter designed to work as well as the Heavy duty bar.....I think its more like.... just one more effort to reduce truck weight.

How much adjustment do the linkages offer? Do they make a longer length version?
