Just got a quote on a Bendix control valve and power cylinder...$700 plus a $150 core charge each. Plus whatever shipping would be. You bypass the core charge if you tell them you're sending your parts in and just rebuild what you send. They told me to expect a 10 day turn around time.

You place an order, and they send you a remanufacured box that is the same as what you had before. You then ship your old box to them and they machine and rebuild it for the next guy.

December 2012 I saved $60 on the Red Head box for my '77 F150 4X4 by participating in a "Red Head Steering Box" group buy here .... worth looking for. I ordered on a Monday, it showed up here at the house in Virginia on Wednesday afternoon in a large USPS "If It Fits It Ships" box .... and I installed it Friday same week and sent my old one back on Monday following in a "USPS "IiFiS" box.
If I was you and if not in a big hurry .... I'd search the forums to see if any going on now, as even if you find the group buy in the newer forums, they go by number of boxes sold, not by particular vehicle. We had just over 40 in the one I was in.
