Whine
Really light pressure on the accelerator, stops the whine.
Dealer says it is the rear end, and wants to tear it down.
I just wanted opinions from the pro's. So here I am. Thanks to all who reply. Jim

I want to get this in the hands of your regional customer service manager so they can help. Send me your specifics in a PM and I'll get things moving in the right direction; I'll need your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name.

I had taken it in on the previous Tuesday, and was told they would have to order parts.
Nothing was looked at, except they drove it for the second time.
After tearing it down on Monday, they said they had the wrong parts.
" The Vin called for a 9.7' Diff and the truck has an 8.8"
Called yesterday, and they say Ford will not have the parts to them until at least 9/05/13.
I asked if they couldn't just set the pinion depth and back lash, and they said that they could but if wasn't right, Ford would not pay again under warranty. I guess if the second one has the same problem as the first, they will just keep putting them in until they get a good one.
Thanks for listening to me B***ch
I think I have owned it 3 weeks now. So much for Ford Parts
Dealer called @ 5
m yesterday and said my truck was ready. (A day earlier than expected.) I sure hope everything is OK. I am not sure yet if they put in new parts, or just put the old ones back in and adjusted. On another thread on here, it was mentioned that there has ( evidently) been several
complaints about a whine in the 8.8 diff. Time will tell I guess.
