1963 f100 stepside

i just bought a 1963 f100 stepside with a 223 inline 6 and three on the tree. but with all the research i cant find out wich transmission is in it. its a 2 wheel drive. i did find out that its a cruise-o-matic but then ran into the problem of the fx and mx. dont know which one is in mine. i dont have the truck in my driveway at the moment. the shifter linkage broke. wont go into drive reverse or anything. please help.

A "three on the tree" is generally a manual, "cruise-o-matic" is..... well... automatic. Is there one linkage rod, or two?

oops my bad. its a automatic. i get the truck next weekend up in everett, wa. i want to get the shifter linkage fixed first. im trying to order a part from american shifters but they needing to know what transmission is in it.
