2011 Lighting circuit question

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to stop the parking lights from coming on every time you open the doors. A real pain when camping. Is there a relay which controls this which can be pulled? 2011 E350 Clubwagon
Thanks Rob beardedskipper@hotmail.com

The latest diagram I have access to is a 2008 E350. That year they have a VSM(Vehicle Security Module) that has the brown wire tied to it, and activates the lights. For years Ford has always used a brown wire to run the marker lights over the whole vehicle.

If yours is wired the same, and you could find the vehicle security module and cut this brown wire, it would stop the lights from coming on I believe.

You could also talk to the dealer, they may be able to get in and re-program it not to do this, but of course if they can it won't be free.
