can i put a front end from a 92 ford 250 on a 75 f100 chassis with little problems? im really wanting to convert my 5 lug to 8 lug but can not find used parts. im not sure on what all i need to do the conversion and it may be more cost efficent just to buy a used front end. im looking for the easiest option. idon't have a lot of experince with building vehicles. any help would be greatly appreciated
Given the lack of experience (and likely wrenching/welding) I suggest ya just buy a '92 and do a body swap. Btw, 2WD or 4WD?
ive already put a lot of money into this truck. i basically have everything i need to complete the chassis, suspension, new rear end, lines, suspension, all of that. i'd really like just to be able to convert my dana 44 to 8 lug but im having a hard time getting precise information. telling me to change everything from knuckles outwards is too broad for me bc im a noob. i cant seem to find a post where someone lays out exactly what i need. if i could get a list of every part from the knuckle outwards it'd be a start. i think broncograveyard has a good amount of what i need. the first operator i talked to there said they had most of just not the brake calipers and now when i call i been getting this rude guy who just says he aint got it. i found a dana 44 3/4 on ebay thats pretty cheap im trying to get the seller to sell me just the outters but who knows how that will go.
